Dr. Johnson is a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County. He attended Georgia State University and University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies, and then enrolled at the Southern College of Optometry to complete his Doctorate of Optometry. In addition to owning Gwinnett Eye Clinic for 40+ years, he also was the founder and past President of Southern State Eye Care, a multi-state managed care organization. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. Dr. Johnson specializes in general optometry as well as contact lenses and treating common eye disease.
He enjoys exercise activities and UGA football. He and his wife, Jennifer, are members of First Redeemer Church in the Cumming/Johns Creek area.
